On December 18, we had the privilege of hosting the event”Cybersecurity applied to Industry”, organized by the CICERO project at our MBIT School headquarters. It was a day where experts in technology and research shared their knowledge about the latest trends in digital security, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to solve the most pressing challenges in the industrial sector.

We don't want to miss the opportunity to congratulate our speakers who made this event a resounding success. Thanks to Javier Sedano, Jorge Fernández, Iago Vázquez, Iñaki del Campo And our surprise guest Enrique Riesgo for sharing their experience and knowledge, and for helping us to better understand the challenges and solutions in the field of industrial cybersecurity.

Highlights of the event

During the event, three key pillars of industrial cybersecurity were addressed:

  1. Post-Quantum Cybersecurity: We explored how current technologies can prepare us for the challenges of a future where quantum computing could compromise traditional security systems. Solutions based on FPGA and post-quantum cryptography algorithms were the protagonists.
  2. Network traffic analysis: Attendees learned how deep learning is being used to detect anomalies and prevent attacks in real time. The ability to identify abnormal patterns in data traffic is crucial to mitigate the risks of cyberattacks.
  3. Characterization of malware using AI: A particularly revealing session was dedicated to the analysis of malware. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it is now possible to label, classify and study the characteristics of these threats with unprecedented precision, allowing for the development of more effective defense strategies.

A surprise guest

We have the participation of Enrique Riesgo, an expert in cybersecurity for the company Fortinet, who provided unique perspectives and practical cases on how to protect critical industrial assets against current threats.

Let's relive it together!

If you weren't able to attend the event, don't worry. We have recorded the whole day so you don't miss a single detail. We invite you to relive the full presentations and discussions on our YouTube channel. Access the full event here: ⬇️
